Chief and Chief

Since it's my absolute favorite holiday, The Chief and I were discussing all things patriotic.  I mean, not really...we're watching A Capitol Fourth with our good friends Matthew Broderick and Kelli O'Hara.  Which led us to discuss famous people we know and presidents and other patriotic things.  Which led me to an extensive YouTube/Google search for this historic archived footage...

This was at the dedication of the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum on the five-year anniversary of the bombing.  The Chief (my mom, not the Commander in Chief) is pretty much in the whole entire thing (immediately to the left of Bill Clinton).  She was in a 168-member choir to pay tribute to the 168 people killed in the bombing.  She shook Clinton's hand, so they're pretty much best friends now.  There is also another video of her with George W. Bush at the 10-year anniversary.

Here's the C-SPAN video of the full ceremony should you want to watch.  You probably don't.

So that's all.  The Chief is awesome.  Happy Katie's Favorite Holiday!
